Privacy Policy

Effective August 5, 2026. This policy explains how CallerID handles data for caller identification, spam protection, AI assistance, and subscriptions.

CallerID privacy practices

User data

We may process account details, profile information, authentication status, phone lookup activity, reports, comments, preferences, and settings needed to operate CallerID.

Sensitive user data

Caller reports, phone numbers, scam descriptions, uploaded screenshots, and preference memory may reveal sensitive context. Use the app only for lawful caller identification and safety purposes.

Device data

We may process device type, browser, operating system, IP-derived approximate location, interaction events, and diagnostics to keep the service secure and usable.

Uploaded files

Photos and videos you upload, including wearable captures from smartwatches, smart glasses, pins, or camera-enabled devices, may be analyzed by the AI Agent to answer your request. Do not upload files you do not have permission to share.

Payments

If paid plans or subscriptions are used, payment processors such as Stripe or PayPal may process billing details, transaction data, and fraud-prevention information under their own policies. CallerID should not store full payment card details.

Analytics

We may use analytics to understand app usage, feature performance, conversion flows, errors, and safety outcomes. Analytics should be limited to what is necessary to improve the service.

Cookies and local storage

The app uses local storage and similar browser technologies for authentication flow support, preferences, UI settings, and session continuity.

Ads, sponsored content, and affiliate links

This app may display ads, sponsored content, affiliate links, or promotional offers. If ads are enabled, advertising partners may process limited device, usage, or interaction data according to their own policies.

Data sharing

Data may be shared with service providers that support hosting, authentication, AI analysis, payments, analytics, security, and communications. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.

Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide CallerID, maintain safety records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and improve spam protection. You may request deletion where applicable.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards such as platform authentication, access controls, and secure service providers, but no system is perfectly secure. Avoid uploading highly confidential materials unless necessary.

User rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or object to certain processing of your personal information. Contact the app owner through the available support channel for privacy requests.
